Who is Taylor?
From unexploded ordinance cleanup and removal to licensed NASCAR driver to a published metal-oxide nanoparticle toxicologist to manufacturing technical lead for a bacteriophage biopharmaceutical startup, Taylor has held many hats.
When COVID hit in 2020, the federal lab Taylor was working in completely shut down and soon after an economic relief check came in the mail. Having followed the company Lightform for several years and with an extra amount of time and cash flow, he bought 2 Lightform LFCs and 2 Epson Powerlite 7K projectors. This software was an excellent steppingstone into the world of projection mapping, but its limitations were soon found. This is where Taylor pulled in his 10+ years of Adobe After Effects and SolidWorks 3D-modeling experience and into the world of Resolume, Blender, TouchDesigner, & ComfyUI he jumped.
However, balancing getting a Master’s in Biomanufacturing from NC State while working full-time as the team lead for the development of several processes for clinical trial manufacturing of phase I, II, & III drug products made it difficult to find time for projection mapping.
Opportunity strikes again!
In October of 2023, the 70+ hour weeks in pharma proved a break was needed and Taylor began design visuals fulltime under New Light Visions for Hulaween Music Festival. Taylor had mentored under Jasper Mosher, Owner of NLV, back in 2021 and the duo were back along with the rest of Jasper’s team to bring the magic that is Spirit Lake.
After returning to North Carolina Taylor then teamed up with the US National Whitewater Center in Charlottle to bring two awe-inspiring scenes to life for their Winter trail. The 2 scenes built in the chapel and along the back half of the trail ran for 3 months from November to January and brought +50,000 visitors from far and wide!

Tired of whatever random Envato visuals your local VJ managed to hue rotate together to the beat, Taylor decided to put his engineering classes in 3D modeling to good use. With several proprietary techniques and workflows now created and others learned from the best LDs in the business, Taylor is continuing to push the limit of possibility with an Epson projector.
